Incognito employee feedback that does not become a complaint box
What a feedback channel needs beyond a link: rules, a promised response and honesty about anonymity.
The idea is simple: let people say what they will not say at a stand-up. The failure is just as simple — the channel becomes a complaint box with no consequences, and a month later nobody writes.
What you need besides a link
A promise to respond. If messages are never discussed out loud, the channel dies. Agree on a rhythm: a short summary every two weeks — what was fixed, what was not and why.
Boundaries. Say upfront that being incognito does not cancel respect and that messages attacking named people are not considered.
Honesty about anonymity. This matters most: technical anonymity of the sender is unreachable in Telegram — the bot sees who wrote. Promising full anonymity is a lie that will surface. The honest wording is: “we do not publish names, one person reads it”.
Setting it up
A dedicated persona for feedback, a greeting with the rules, a filter for insults. Put the link in the internal wiki and in the work chat description.
Handling the flow
Once a week, write out what repeats. The same thing from different people is a problem; a one-off is a case. Discuss the first publicly, answer both.
See how it works on the incognito messages page.
